Beta Marine

One of the issues I have found on the beta marine 38 is the charging from the 55 amp alternator, unless you are thrashing the engine charging is just not good enough to keep your batteries charged especially in winter.

The cheap and quick upgrade is just to increase the pully size on the alternator so there's improved charging at lower revs.

A better upgrade is to replace the 55 amp alternator with a more powerful one, I would suggest something like a 90 amp alternator. The only thing to remember is to upgrade the cable from the 10mm to a 35mm cable to cope with the extra load.
When it comes to warranty, maintenance is essential especially oil changes, so keep on top of you maintenance
